TapOK is a safety check-in app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it. We keep it short because your trust is worth more than legal boilerplate.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data.
Your data is stored securely on Supabase cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and encryption in transit (TLS). We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Emergency SMS alerts are sent via Twilio only when you miss a scheduled check-in. Your emergency contacts will receive your name and, if enabled, a Google Maps link to your last known location. Standard messaging rates may apply to recipients.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app settings. Upon deletion, all personal data — including emergency contacts, profile information, check-in history, and location records — will be permanently removed within 30 days. Contact us to request a data export or expedited deletion.
TapOK Premium is an auto-renewing subscription priced at USD $11.99 per year (local pricing may vary). Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings (iOS) or Google Play subscriptions (Android). No refunds are provided for the unused portion of a billing period.

TapOK is rated 4+ and is intended for general audiences but is not targeted at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us. We respond within 30 days.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated in-app prior to taking effect.
